Price -

Topps dropped a pre-order of 2025 Topps Tribute Baseball on March 24th for $540/hobby box and $2,160 per case. Since the pre-order the price has been steadily increasing on the secondary market - Hobby boxes are currently selling for $750 (+39%). This feels too high for this product give that a 2024 box can be purchased for less on Blowout - $689.  However there has been some changes from last year to this year.

2024 to 2025 Topps Tribute Changes -

While the configuration of the boxes & packs remains unchanged a couple things to note:

  • Calling the Shot dual Autos will come out almost twice as much (1:421 in 2024; 1:234 in 2025).  The size of the checklist was increased from 7 to 18 cards.
  • Milestone Relics Black Jumbo Autos are also more likely (1:9,547 in 2024; 1:4,887 in 2025). The size of the checklist was increased from 14 to 28 cards.
  • Keeping with the theme the Prime Patch Auto Relics are also more likely (1:4,774 in 2024; 1:295). The checklist was increased from 28 to 55 cards and red (1:611) and logo (1:2,488) parallels were introduced.
  • 2024 features Clayton Kershaw on Tribute Career Achievement Award Continuity Autos, in 2025, George Brett will receive this honor.
  • Tribute to Cleats Autos are being introduced alongside the Tribute to Threads Autos that were featured in 2024 (and will be continued in 2025).
  • Noticeably absent from the 2025 checklist are Tribute Tandem Book Cards.

Other Notes on the Checklist -

  • As usual the Braves have a very large checklist. Legends like Justice, McGriff, Lofton, Andruw and Chipper Jones, Glavine, Smoltz, and Murphy along with current stars like Acuna, Strider, Olson, Riley, Harris and Albies.
  • Solid list of legends sign for the Red Sox including: Ortiz, Pedroia, Pedro Martinez, Wade Boggs, Garciaparra, and Carlton Fisk.
  • Dodgers, as usual are LOADED - Betts, Ohtani, Sasaki, Yamamoto, and as if they needed some extra juice in the checklist, Albert Pujols.
  • Ohtani's Milestones Relic Jumbo Black auto is with the Angels.
  • Frank Thomas does sign, boosting an otherwise paltry White Sox checklist.
  • The Marlins checklist has been boosted by Ichiro autos as usual.
  • Bryce Harper has a relic and Milestones Relic Jumbo Black Autos on the Nationals checklist.
  • Barry Bonds and Buster Posey sign for the Giants.
  • Yankees likely have the longest checklist in the product with autos that include Judge, Jeter, and Soto.
  • Unusually short checklist for the Pirates - Skenes is the only auto.
  • While Ichiro signs for the Marlin he also signs for the Mariners, along with Ken Griffey, Jr.
  • The Rays only have Shane McClanahan autos & Randy Arozarena Relics
