Product Preview: 2025 Bowman Mega Box

Product Preview: 2025 Bowman Mega Box

We don't have to wait long for the next iteration of 2025 Bowman baseball - Mega boxes will drop on Wednesday, May 28th.

Mega boxes, as in previous years, will continue to include "four (4) 2025 Bowman Base packs and two (2) exclusive Mega Chrome packs per Mega Box."

The Mega box checklist is always very different then the main release of Bowman product, so let's dive in...

Base

The base set includes 50 rookies & vet players, plus an additional 50 prospect base set. The prospect set is headlined by 1sts from the biggest chases in 2025 Bowman, including: Condon, Wetherholt, Made, McGonigle, Morlando, DeBarge, White, Level, Arias, Briceno, Pena, and more. Note that while the base cards for these prospects will be "1st" cards, their autos will not be.

Inserts

NEW: Mega Futures

This mega exclusive insert will be found 1:80 packs, which makes it pretty close to a case hit. Occasionally you should find 2 in case.

Very Important Prospects & Rookie of the Year Favorites

These inserts are returning from the full 2025 Bowman release in 'Mojo' form!

Autos

Prospect Auto odds look to be about the same as last year, so you should expect 4-5 autographed cards per case.

They've slashed the rookie mega autograph odds from 1:5,325 last year to 1:1,082 this year. Will be great to see more of these!

There are also IV autos for both rookies (NEW!) and prospects, which are extremely hard to hit (1:9,311 for rookies & 1:6,763 for prospects). Rookie IV and Rookie  IV autos are new this year!

Since the IV auto checklist is small enough to include here, we will:

Rookies:

  • Brooks Lee, Twins
  • Coby Mayo, Orioles
  • Jacob Wilson, Athletics
  • Kumar Rocker, Rangers
  • Luisangel Acuna, Mets

Prospects:

  • Charlie Condon, Rockies
  • Franklin Arias, Red Sox
  • Jesus Made, Brewers
  • JJ Wetherholt, Cardinals
  • Kevin McGonigle, Tigers
  • PJ Morlando, Marlins
  • Slade Caldwell, Diamondbacks

Image Variations

The Image Variation checklist now includes rookies! (2024 Bowman Mega boxes only had prospect IVs). However the odds of pulling them got harder at 1:803 for both rookies and prospects.
