Product Preview: 2025 Bowman Draft
Share
Arguably the biggest Bowman release of the year is upon us. Releasing January, 14th, 2025 2025 Bowman Draft! One reason it is such a big product is because it includes player taken in the 2025 Draft, many players who jumped right into teams tops prospect lists. Unlike Bowman Chrome, which focuses on international prospects who you may not see in the big leagues for 4-5 years, Bowman draft prospects can move VERY quickly through the minor leagues (see Wyatt Langford in 2023 Bowman Draft & Nick Kurtz in 2024 Bowman Draft). Anyway, let's get into it....

The Sleepers
For Bowman Draft its generally easy to tell who the big chases - those who were drafted thew highest, but lets' take a look at 5 players who were NOT drafted in the first round, that I consider sleepers that could provide ROI in the future. Since some of these 2nd rounders are still relatively well known, I included a bonus 6th chase from the 3rd round.
Quentin Young (SS/3B)
- Draft Position: 2nd Round, 54th Overall (Minnesota Twins)
- Outlook: The nephew of former MLB stars Dmitri and Delmon Young, Quentin features "top-of-the-scale" raw power in a massive 6'5" frame. He reclassified into the 2025 class to enter early, and his elite bat speed and 95-mph arm strength make him a potential 30-homer threat if he can manage the swing-and-miss tendencies common in young power hitters.
Cooper Flemming (SS/3B)
- Draft Position: 2nd Round, 53rd Overall (Tampa Bay Rays)
- Outlook: A Vanderbilt commit before signing, Flemming is praised for an "elite hit tool" and polished left-handed swing that has already proven effective against college-level arms. While he may transition to third base, his ability to consistently find the barrel and his high baseball IQ suggest he could move quickly through a Rays system known for maximizing player development.
Nick Becker (SS)
- Draft Position: 2nd Round, 57th Overall (Seattle Mariners)
- Outlook: The 2025 Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year is an athletic 6'4" shortstop with a projectable frame often compared to Corey Seager. Mariners scouts are high on his 70-grade speed and smooth defensive actions, believing that as he fills out his frame, he will develop the 20/20 (home run/stolen base) potential typical of an impact Major League starter.
Ethan Petry (OF/1B)
- Draft Position: 2nd Round, 49th Overall (Washington Nationals)
- Outlook: Once projected as a top-10 pick, Petry slipped due to concerns about his defensive home and high whiff rates in college. However, his exit velocities are among the highest in recent draft history (peaking at 114 mph), and his improved zone discipline during his final season at South Carolina suggests he has the "light tower power" necessary to anchor the middle of an MLB lineup.
Chase Shores (RHP)
- Draft Position: 2nd Round, 47th Overall (Los Angeles Angels)
- Outlook: An imposing 6'8" pitcher out of LSU, Shores can reach triple digits (up to 101 mph) with a "dead zone" heater that overpowers hitters. Having successfully returned from Tommy John surgery, he now possesses a high-spin slider that serves as a legitimate out-pitch, giving him the ceiling of a high-leverage starter or a dominant late-inning reliever.
Landon Harmon (RHP)
- Draft Position: 3rd Round, 80th Overall (Washington Nationals)
- Outlook: Harmon entered the draft as one of the premier prep arms in the country, often ranked as a top-50 talent before sliding to the 80th pick. At 6'5" with a projectable frame, he features a high-octane fastball that sits 93–96 mph and has reached 99 mph with elite riding life.
