2025 Topps Update Series: What we know...
Share
- The cut-off for rookies making it into Update Series (and 2025 products altogether) appears to have been May 27th.
- Yaramil Hiraldo & Drew Avans debuted on May 27th and were the last rookies to make it into this set. This means no Cole Young, Jac Caglione, Roman Anthony, Jacob Misiorowski, and many more.
- One big addition to the checklist from typical flagship releases will be Real One Golden Mirror Autos. This will all have gold ink. The checklist consists of 67 players, including most of the big name vets and Rookies. We don't have any odds yet.
- We'll know more about formats when the Odds sheet is published, but the checklist does let us know that there will be a Japan Edition Hobby Box. It also mentioned "fanatics box," but doesn't say if it's a value box (like previous flagship releases) or a mega box (like Topps Chrome).
- Looks like the Mystical insert is back, and we also have 3 new inserts -
- Night Terrors
- Most Valuable
- Bleacher Reachers
- I always Look forward to seeing who the first pitch cards are for, so here is the checklist:
- Big Sean (Autos) - Rapper
- Manuel Selman (Autos) - Surfer
- MIYAVI (Autos) - Guitarist/Singer
- Eitan Levine (Autos) - Comedian
- John Smoltz (Autos)
- Hideki Matsui (Autos)
- Andy Pettitte (Autos)
- Derek Jeter
- Matt Holliday
- Kirk Gibson (Autos)
- There a few really interesting (and big!) Triple autos on the checklist
- Randy Johnson/Felix Hernandez/Gaylord Perry
- Rickey Henderson/Reggie Jackson/Mark McGwire
- Elly De La Cruz/Lou Brock/Rickey Henderson
MUCH more to come after the odds are published!
